Republican heartbeat

Several political ads from diverse groups published over the last weeks provoce spiteful comments in several newspapers and blogs. The California Nurses Association´s “One Heartbeat Away” refers to McCain´s age and health, presenting him in front of a black background and a pulsing signal from a heart-monitor, which becomes silent and turns into a flat line. Several pictures of Palin with remarks towards her readiness to take over the presidency if neccessary are cut in between.

Another 60-seconds advertisement from the Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund attacks Palin on her stance on the aerial hunting of wolves. The viewer is taken on to an helicopter from where wolves in Alaska are being shot. The wolf barrels into the ground, writhing in pain on the snow. “Sarah Palin supports aerial hunting of wolves and bears. Do You?” asks the spot at the end.
